- Description:
IvorySQL is an advanced Object-Relational database management system (DBMS). The base ivorysql package contains the client programs that you'll need to access a IvorySQL DBMS server, as well as HTML documentation for the whole system. These client programs can be located on the same machine as the IvorySQL server, or on a remote machine that accesses a IvorySQL server over a network connection. The IvorySQL server can be found in the ivorysql2-server sub-package. If you want to manipulate a IvorySQL database on a local or remote IvorySQL server, you need this package. You also need to install this package if you're installing the ivorysql2-server package.
